Before you start
I don't know which process applies to me. Where do I start?
By finding out what applies to you, not by picking a process from a list. The right route depends on how long you've been in Spain, your work or study situation, whether you have family here and which permits you've held before. In the first consultation we review your case and tell you which route is viable and which isn't, even if the answer is that you don't qualify yet.
How long does the government take to decide on an immigration application?
The general legal time limit is three months from the date the application is entered in the registry of the competent office. If that time passes without an answer, the law considers it rejected by administrative silence (silencio administrativo), which doesn't stop you from appealing. Actual processing times vary by province.
What happens if my application is denied?
A denial isn't the end. You can file an appeal for reconsideration (recurso de reposición) with the same office and then take the case to the administrative courts (vía contencioso-administrativa). The deadlines to appeal are short and start counting from the date of notification, so what matters is that you show us the decision as soon as you receive it, not weeks later.
Do you only work with clients in Barcelona or all over Spain?
Our office is in Sant Just Desvern, in the Barcelona area, but we handle cases from all over Spain. Much of the process involves paperwork and is done online, so you don't need to live nearby for us to take on your case.
Can I start an application if I'm in Spain without legal status?
Yes. Arraigo permits (residence based on ties to Spain) exist precisely for that: they are the route designed for people who are already in Spain without a residence permit and can prove a period of stay and a work, training or family connection. What's important is not to let time slip by and not to file anything without first checking which option fits your case.
How much does the first consultation cost?
The consultation has a fixed price that we'll tell you before you book it, and if you decide to move forward with us, we deduct it from the cost of your application. You'll leave that session knowing which route applies to you, which documents you need and what timelines to expect.
